Montenegro, meaning "Black Mountain", is bordered by Croatia, Bosnia,
Serbia, the breakaway province of Kosovo Serbs and Albanians. About half
of it was covered in dense forest. Covering a small Republican Adriatic
coastline, plains and high mountains. The Tara River canyon is the
deepest and longest in Europe.
Montenegro is one of the 6 republics of the former Yugoslavia. In 1992,
after the disintegration of the former Yugoslavia, Montenegro entered a
new federation with Serbia, the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
Montenegro officially applied to
join the European Union on 15 December 2008. Montenegro important
milestone on the road to EU membership achieved by the end of 2009, when
the citizens of Montenegro was granted the right to visa-free travel
within the Schengen zone.
Already
famous for its perfect yachting water slowly Montenegro discovered by
the Western European travelers. Access is by flying or sea by ferry.
Montenegro Lines Ferry ferries operate regular schedules between the ferry port Montenegro Bar and Ancona and Bari.
No
longer should visitors think they will fall off the end of the world if
they are traveling east beyond Dubrovnik. Croatia sapphire blue

But
here it is backed by steep, mountainous gray ribbon leaving enough
space for the coastal towns on a sweep of sandy beaches and small bays
flowing into the Albanian border.

The interior is a dramatic mountain setting fringed with pine forests, dotted with lakes and gorges printed by dizzy-in.

highest region, Durmitor National Park, is a favorite for winter skiing
and summer hiking in pristine mountainscape while under deep valley
Tara, intrepid rafters challenge its tumbling rapids. So much for a
small country - the youngest country in the world.
Montenegro's history is one of steady struggle for independence against a larger force, which has fallen in the failure of the rocky interior of the fort. Over 500 years of Montenegro is the only country to defeat the Turks who invaded southeastern Europe, and remain independent. While the size of the region waxed and waned was always centered on the middle of the mountains faded Cetinje.
Only two countries have never mastered his own affairs: the first of 1166 for about 200 years when it was taken over by the Serbian royal R, and the second in 1916 during World War I when it invaded Austria.
